Turbine

Turbine, directed by Daniel Mckee and Choreographed by Grace Nicol, explores the idea of 'I' and the 'not-I'. The film was edited in realtime using a propeller mirror which allows the viewpoint to flick between the two performers at opposite ends of the room. We begin with harmonious mirroring actions that build throughout the film leading to a split and the emergence of both dancers temporarily co-existing in a newly formed shared space. The soundtrack from Saxophonist Ben Vince echos and reverbs to create a visually stunning piece designed to inspire and surprise audiences.
